PERSIA GRILL in University Mall along Taft Avenue

During lunch time when we deliberate on where we should eat, it is common to hear Persia Grill as one of the suggestions, but most of us put it as a joke (except me, of course and TJ Palanca). Why is it so? Apparently, most of my lunch buddies don't find Middle Eastern Cuisine very much appealing because of the distinct and often "too overpowering" taste according to them. Luckily, one fine day, I was able to convince them to try Persia Grill once more!

Note regarding the photos: It took me a while before I can actually blog about this because of bad photos. This is why I'm very thankful to Pam for sharing some light, literally)

The Place

To be in line with what the theme, the interior of Persia Grill is marked by some Middle Eastern designs as seen in the photo (okay, I' kidding, it's not that obvious in the photo). Anyway, the place is dimly lit to make the place cozy and warm-looking - which I believe was a success.

The Food

For the food, let's begin with the Beef Kebab Student Value Meal at P125
This meal is already inclusive of the beef kebab, rice, eggplant and yogurt dips and an 8oz iced tea

What I particularly love about this meal is the "value for money". I just love the taste of the kebab which is further magnified twofold by the super great dips. Aside from this, I also enjoy the grilled tomato! In short, there's nothing I dislike about this meal - except for the iced tea because of the strong concentration making it too sweet to drink.

Additional Beef Kebab with grilled Tomato (P89 per piece)
If you just can't get enough of the beef kebabs or a least the grilled tomatoes, you may want to order more of them.

If you are not a big fan of beef, you also have another alternative, Chicken Kebab Student Value Meal at P125:

It's basically the same as the Beef Kebab SVM, the only difference, is the meat of course! The taste of the grilled chicken is fine, but I still adore the beef kebabs more!

So, basically, this is just about it! Every time I go here, I always order the Student Value Meal. It maximizes my money's worth, so I always keep getting back. What's your thought on this? Share it below! :)
