North Wing Restaurant in Maginhawa Street, Quezon City
Foodie friends, I'm happy to share with you that I will be having my first TV appearance as a food reviewer in one of the segments of Pop Talk. It was a definite first for me, so I was pretty much excited and nervous the entire time.
Of course, this will not be possible without the recommendation of my great foodie pal, Richie Zamora of The Pickiest Eater in the World. Thanks buddy for the opportunity!
For this segment, we will be exploring a total of 3 celebrity-owned restaurants, and to begin this crazy experience, let me share with you the first stop - North Wing, co-owned by Arianne Bautista and Louise delos Reyes.
Note: Some photos used in this blog post (i.e. without the A-Not-So-Popular Kid watermark) are from North Wing. These photos were used with full permission.
Operating for a few months now, North Wing has this inviting adorable interior that makes you feel all comfy and relaxed. The design was conceptualized having the customers in mind -- and of course taking into consideration their love for selfies. Yes, every corner of this place can be picture-perfect!
Now aside from being all-photogenic, the place makes you feel like you are in a sophisticated outdoor cafe, which adds another layer of excitement as you dine here in the place.
Here in North Wing there is a variety of dishes to choose from under these categories - chicken wings, pasta, pizza, steaks and drinks.
Chicken Wings || P140 - 4 pcs with rice || P180 - 6 pieces || P250 - 12 pieces || P450 - 24 pieces
There are some interesting flavors to choose from here in North Wing. You may go for barbecue, garlic cheddar, sweet chili, hell fire all the way (which is extremely hot) and choco-flare caramel blaze (which is a must-try!).
The pasta selection of North Wing has prices ranging from P150 to 210. Plus, you have the power to choose whether to go for a fettucine or spaghetti.
Variants depend on the base sauce. For white, they have the carbonara and picatta alaova. For red, they have the bolognese, rosotono, pomodoro, pasta chorizo, amatriciana, arabiata, putanesca and meatballs. Lastly, for green sauce, they have the pesto.
Pizza is also served here in this restaurant to cater to the younger ones who always crave for a cheesy pizza pie. Prices range from P190 to P480.
Now, if you happen to be a meat lover, you may also find delight here in this place via its West Steaks selection.
The steak dishes here in North Wing usually comes with a side dish of your choice (e.g. rice, pumpkin puree, sweet potato or french fries). You may go for the heavy ones such as the Lamb Steak (P280) or Angus Ribeye Steak (P480), or for the lighter ones such as the Stroganoff (P180) and Thai Chili Beef (P180).
Now, there you go! Hopefully, you were able to find this blog post helpful at the least. Let me share with you a photo with two of the owners, Louise delos Reyes and the chef of North Wing.
Here's a photo with the Pop Talk host (Kuya Tonipet), fellow foodie reviewers (Chef Jackie and Jan Manual) and the co-owners of the restuarant.
First stop down. On Wednesday (September 2, 2015) I'll be posting about the second food stop at Pedro 'n Coi (read more), so be sure to check it out here in this blog as well as in Pop Talk!
