SEAIR by Tiger Airways: Off to Bacolod
Off to Bacolod! |
We flew to Bacolod via South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) to attend the 12th Young Economists' Visayas Regional Convention as well as to have a breather after the hectic term. You may wonder why we chose SEAIR instead of the usual Cebu Pacific or PAL. So, I'll explain to you why:
Since we all don't want to spend that much for the trip, we decided to seek for a cheaper alternative. That's why we ended up with SEAIR. Yes, they were having a promo during that time, and so the price of the airfare was just about P1,800 back-and-forth. Plus, this is already inclusive of the terminal fee (Manila to Bacolod).
The fee, however, does not cover the terminal fee from Bacolod to Manila. So, that was an additional P200. So, all in all, the airfare would sum up to P2,000. Not bad right?

Were there some things compromised?
Nah. I don't think so. It was almost a perfect deal. Here are some of the things I took note of:
- There are no significant differences between Cebu Pacific and SEAIR
- The arrival was on time (Manila to Bacolod) - 40 minutes travel time, although, on our way back we were delayed by 20 minutes because of a "traffic" - 1 hour travel time. But, I don't think, they were at fault.
- Yes, we experienced some turbulence, but, aren't they part of every flight?
- Everything else went well.

Haven't tried SEAir. Maybe I'll try booking a SEAir flight in the future. :)
