Here are some bottles of Whisk that took me by surprise! Amazing goodness prepared with love and spiced up with all the confidence Whisk has for each bottle.

Through the Taste Central, we were able to purchase 3 Whisk bottles, and I will share with you the adventure I had with each bottle.

Lemon Tarragon Vinaigrette

With a shallow hint of minty flavor, this Lemon Tarragon Vinaigrette was memorably sweet (i.e. sweetest among the bundle yet the lightest). Hence, if you want something sweet but not heavy on the tummy, go for this dressing! However, I have one drawback, I somehow found it rather heavy on the palate - the taste was intense. There were times when I appreciated the kick of flavors, but there were also moments when it worked the other way around.

Experimenting,  I tried it on a pork butterfly chop, and I was surprised that the two paired well together! The vinaigrette took out the dryness of the fried pork chop, and a diversity of flavor was added. Whisk suggests an alternative use of this dressing as marinade for baked salmon (Whoa, I think that will be great!).

The Japanese Mango Dressing

For this Japanese Mango Dressing, I was expecting it to be smooth (i.e. the dressing slides down fast when you tilt the bottle). However, it remained just like that - an expectation. In short, I needed to exert some effort on it just to have some dressing on my salad. This suggests that the dressing was somewhat airy and thick (which may either be something appealing or not depending on our preference).

As for the taste, I appreciated the good combination of sensational spice (coming from the Wasabi ingredient) and the gentle sweetness from the mango component (although, I would have loved it more if it was sweeter). However, even if the experience didn't take me to paradise, the taste was great enough to provide me a sense of adventure!

Note: I assume that this is more deal for seafood (i.e. crab or shrimp) salad

Asian Dressing

Now, this really caught me off-guard! Among the three salad dressings my mom bought, this was the one that I was least enthusiastic about that I end up trying this 4 days after our purchase.

One day, I heard my sister and younger brother telling my mom how they love the Asian Dressing. I couldn't believe at first, so I clarified, and appeared that what I heard was right - they love it! This made me curious about it, and I decided to give it a try.

First, I tasted it without anything else, and it tasted awful (but I guess this was all in the mind). I read the description where it says "...also good for fried chicken". Since all I had that moment was a chicken patty, I decided to spice it up with the dressing. To my surprise, the taste was marvelous!

The ingredients were all basic (i.e. Mayonnaise, sesame oil, soy sauce and sugar) yet the blend was fantastic! It felt like they hit the almost-perfect ingredient ratio!

Aside from that, the taste of the dressing reminded me of the dressing used in Pepper Lunch! However, I still prefer having this dressing as a dip or sauce. Try this!
