Singaporean Hainanese Chicken of WEE NAM KEE - Delightfully Good!
As you may infer from above, we had the chicken and fried rice for take-out, obviously for the main purpose of bringing them home and including them on the Noche Buena Table. This was how it looked like when you have it for take out:
The Signature Hainanese Chicken of Wee Nam Kee with a Dash of Christmas Spirit |
The vibrant and highly photogenic Hainanese Chicken of Wee Nam Kee |
If you want to have a visually appealing version of a Hainanese chicken, Wee Nam Kee is there to heed your request. It offers the chicken in a bright yellow appearance minus all the sights of chicken guts and stuff, so practically, it will be an instant eye candy.

Not Just Beauty but also Goodness
You'll not just want Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken for the appearance because the chicken is not as bland as expected. In fact, it's already tasty on its own (well of course, not to the poiny where it's heavenly to it by itself), plus the meat is tender and nice. All of these make the premium all worth it!

4 Dips of Hainanese Chicken by Wee Nam Kee |
The Four Amazing Sauces
Anyway, what surprised me even more was the 4 dips that may go with the chicken - the sweet sauce, the spicy one, the crushed ginger and radish (I'm not sure if this is correct) and, I think, the soy sauce. Anyway, what I believe as the most enjoyable part is dabbling your own mix of sauce. Yeah, you can experiment on something that will fit your taste!

Hainanese Fried Rice of Wee Nam Kee |
Partner in Crime - the Fried Rice!
Since we purchased the chicken with a voucher, it came along with it some fried rice which I believe was close enough with a Yang Chow Fried rice (i.e. greasiness, ingredients and overall taste). Still, I really enjoyed it since it paired well with the chicken.
With all the excitement I experience feasting on the chicken and fried rice, I would say that I'll come back for more! You should try it as well!
Price: The voucher priced the package at P1,400 which was supposedly at P2,001. Comparing this with other Hainanese Chicken + fried rice, Wee Nam Kee's version may be considered expensive, but at least you get to recover part or whole of the cost through the delight you'll experience when you indulge yourself with these.
Additional Note on Price: If you'll take a look at the menu found in Zomato, the package should roughly be at P1,078 (from P888 for 1 whole chicken and P190 for the fried rice). Maybe the serving was sized up, or maybe not? Now, I'm confused. Hopefully, it's the former.
