Pancake House for me is one of those restaurants we can hail as a classic all-day breakfast place! One fine night, we were able to dine in the branch located in King's Court, Chino Roses Avenue! Here are the dishes we had during our amazing dinner experience!

The Food

I know Pancake House is famous for its pancakes and waffles, but interestingly, it also offers us much more! You'll be surprise on how they can provide us with other delightful dishes suitable for a palate of a royalty! Okay, that's an overstatement, but you know what I mean. With that, let me proceed with the dishes!

Almondigas Soup || P107
A hearty delectable broth of rice noodles with minced pork balls and spring onions

You'll be amazed by the moderate garlic taste of this soup that is heartwarming! Nothing much special, but still wonderfully prepared.

Warm Bacon Potato Salad || P164
A warm salad composed of creamy potatoes topped with crispy bacon bits and fresh alfalfa sprouts laid on a bed of mixed greens

Light on greens and more on potatoes. One thing is certain, there was no complexity with this dish - only pure goodness of a salad variation! Potato and/or Salad-lovers, you should definitely try this one!

Caramel Banana Walnut || P191
Golden waffle with chopped walnuts, banana slices, served with caramel syrup

Peach Waffles || P180

Pancake House offers one of the great pancakes in town! The syrup is incredibly done creating a sweeter and more enjoyable experience! What I really adore about the syrup was how they resemble the taste of your waffle topping! For example, the Peach Waffle is matched with a syrup that tastes like, well, peach!

Seafood Gambero || P295
Marinara-style pasta plus shrimps, New Zealand mussel, cream dory and tagliatelle tossed in a tangy tomato herb sauce
Seafood Gambero of Pancake House
Simple but magnificent - that's how I describe this amazing dish!
What I particularly like about this pasta was its figurative sweetness - perfectly paired with a moderate serving of seafood. Plus, the sauce was just light, so I ended up enjoying its simplicity!

Sunrise Steak || P415
Perk-you-up Breakfast Ssteak served with garlic rice and egg to jumpstart your day, just as mom used to say!
Satisfactory delight in the Sunrice Steak of Pancake House!

Although lacking on tenderness, the steak was not tough to chew, and interestingly, the taste was able to seep into the meat fibers, bringing you tasteful bites!

 Frozen Yogurt of "Gurts" - Blueberry White Chocolate Chip Cheesecake || P164

Just your regular frozen yogurt, but definitely good!

Pancake House and Take-Outs!

In case you want to have something to munch on your way home or some place else, you can also try Pancake House! Here are some of the dishes we had for take out.

Of course, all of these are also available for dine-in. And if you'll ask for my opinion, I still prefer dining-in there, rather than ordering for take-out. Why? Well, aside from not feeling the good ambiance, the presentation of the dishes will be compromised, and if you are a person who appreciates art in food, well, won't see anything that fancy.

Pancake House in a Nutshell and Rating Overview

Budget:
At least P250 each person
Pancake House surely made a good impression on me! The prices will practically leave your wallet unscathed, but the food will definitely put you on a temporary bliss! Admittedly, the dishes weren't perfectly crafted, but for the price, I believe it's all worth it! Yeah, you should absolutely try as many dishes as possible because most of them are really good (some even beyond!)

Extra note: Service wasn't all that top-notch - some smile and attentiveness to the needs of the customers could have done the trick.
