Scout's Honor - Tasty Cookies and Milk in Hole in the Wall, Makati
If ever you find yourself exploring the ever popular food hub in Century Mall called Hole-in-the-Wall, you should go grab some baked goodies and milk of Scout's Honor. We were able to give it a try when all of us started craving for some refreshing desserts.
Baked goodies that taste like home
With the playful design of its stall, Scout's Honor gives you an impression of something sweet and tasty. In fact, it may be the most eye-catching store here in Hole-in-the-Wall. Interestingly, with its very open work area, you'll witness how the bakers passionately mold and craft the cookies.
Milk Bar - drown your sorrows with the refreshingly creamy drinks
Scout's Honor specializes in two things -- cookies and milk. Well, that's not surprising because both surely go well together.
The milk of Scout's Honor is not your ordinary milk, as each is specially crafted to produce a rich creaminess and remarkable taste. Each sip of the milk sends a wave of comfort, and when it interacts with the cookies, it produces a beautiful blend of sweetness. On top of it all, you can choose your milk's flavor depending on your preference and current mood. We suggest that you give Horlicks Milk a try. It's our personal favorite!
Also, we suggest that you go for the Cookie Bucket with Milk (P410), so that you can try both the cookies and milk. With this, you'll have a pitcher of milk (flavor of your choice) and 10 pieces of freshly baked bite-sized cookies. Trust us, you'll love the combination!
Aside from the traditional cookies, Scout's Honor also offers outrageous kinds. In fact, you can even craft your cookies here -- your imagination will be the limit. Cookies range from P60 to P150 a piece.
The Green Tea Hazelnut and Nutella (P150) had an amazing texture, a result of amazing baking prowess of those behind the sweet goodies. However, the taste was considerably plain despite the tantalizing appeal
Trouble with the matcha
Generally, the cookies we had were amazing. There was just one that fallen a little short of expectation, and that is the Green Tea Hazelnut. It may have something to do with the matcha powder used, as it didn't blend well with the overall taste of the cookie. The same thing was true when we tried the Matcha Milk.
Other than that, everything else went extremely fine here in Scout's Honor. In fact, we already promised ourselves to come back here once again for more of the cookies and milk!
