Sin Sun's - Affordable Samgyupsal + Unlimited Sides for P134 each
To satisfy our sudden Korean grilling cravings, my brother's girlfriend (Kat) suggested that we try Sun Sin restaurant in Malate, so we did. In this blog post, we'll learn how sulit it is to satisfy your cravings here!
"Hidden" affordable Korean restaurant
I've worked around the Malate area before, but I wasn't aware that there was a Korean restaurant this sulit. Apparently, it's found along the busy street of Adriatico. At night, it may seem not-so-friendly in the area due to lack of lights, but don't be intimidated. There are guards within the area.
The interior reminds me of Nihonbashi Tei -- a bit dark and somehow dreary. Perhaps it's due to the color scheme used for designing the interior. Thankfully, it was comfortably cool inside, which made up for the dull ambiance. There is also K-pop music which helped divert away attention.
Unlimited Sides Promo
The fantastic thing about Sin Sun is that they have an ongoing promo which allows you to get unlimited refills of the appetizers and the lettuce. All you need to do is to order at least one (1) Beef/Pork for Grill. It's a fantastic deal already, since you can avail this for as low as P280 when you order a pork samgyupsal.
The Pork Samgyupsal (P280) was considerably hefty for the price, but I suggest you order two of these. After all, this is the most affordable in grillable in the menu.
The pork samgyupsal is cooked right on front of you with the assistance of the servers, so you don't need to be stressed about it. This also means more time for you to munch on the unlimited sides such as the fish cakes.
The Woosamgyup Beef Loin (P380) was a winner! The quality was fantastic evidenced by the texture and its juiciness. It also goes perfectly well with the bean paste and the lettuce.
If you have extra budget, I suggest that you pick this instead. However, if you can afford both, why not? Indulge to your heart's content.
We wanted variety for the night, so we ordered a serving of Jjinmandu Steamed Dumplings (P250). I highly recommend this for you to try due to the generous portions, not to mention how tasty it was.
It had the right blend of meaty and veggie taste -- a mouthful in each bite!
Our total bill (if you exclude the dumplings) was P940. Divide this by 7, and you'll know how we were able to satisfy our Korean grilling cravings for as low as P134 each.
If it's unlimited meat you are looking for, then why not check another of their branch nearby: Premier The Samgyupsal (read more). Everything there is unlimited, so you'll really have the time not just to satisfy your cravings but to really pig out.
