Figaro’s Energizing Breakfast and Pasta, Bonifacio High Street

Figaro’s Energizing Breakfast and Pasta, Bonifacio High Street

Ever since I started working in BGC, commute became tougher, and I found myself more prone to exhaustion. Being a master of my own fate, I needed to device a way to prevent that from occurring. Thankfully, I found a Wunder carpool which allowed me to get to BGC in just less than an hour. The downside is I often arrive about an hour ahead of my official clock in. I skip the office because going to work ahead of time will just bring in more stress, which I am definitely trying to avoid. Instead, I use that 1 hour for “me time”.

Hence, I often find myself jumping from coffee shops to coffee shops day by day. In this blog post, I’ll share with you my experience getting my dose of “me time” in Figaro of High Street.

I was walking around the area in search for a new place to explore. Normally, you’ll find me in Krispy Kreme or in Coffee Bean. However, for this particular time, I wanted something “different”, but at the same time, I didn’t want to spend too much. When passing by Figaro, I noticed the front having a menu board saying “20% off”. I read through it, and after confirming that I could indeed get the discount, I decided to stop by.

The interior is neat and homey. It feels like one of those home interiors you find in Good Housekeeping magazine. There is an air of comfort surrounding the place, and I couldn’t help but allow myself to let loose.

I ordered breakfast on my first visit here. It was Monday and they have 20% off for their Breakfast meals. The breakfast was completely energizing. Best of all, it comes with a free coffee or juice.

Pork Longganisa of Figaro in Bonifacio High Street

What I had for my first visit was the Pork Longganisa (P210) which boasted the traditional Pinoy longganisa -- sweet and "toasty". It came with a runny sunny-side up egg which was really perfect for a dish like this. This was then completed with garlic fried rice.

This visit was followed by another one a few weeks after, and I had pasta. It was Thursday, and all pasta dishes are on a 20% discount. Don't we just love promos?

Italian Meatball Bolognese of Figaro

The Italian Meatball Bolognese (P235) fell a little off my expectation. It came a little pale, and it didn't seem that meaty contrary to the image of a bolognese in my head. Surprisingly, it tasted better than what it seemed, so it was able to pull up itself. Still, I would prefer it to have more sauce to bring more life to its visuals.

In both of my visits here in Figaro, I found myself in an excellent mood going to work. I guess that's really the power of an hour spent in an energizing place!

Figaro's vibrant, homey and optimistic interior is what got me hooked. I love how I always end up with a bright smile on my face each time I leave the coffee shop. Even though the dishes themselves weren't as excellent, the vibe just compensated more than enough which make my breakfast powerful and energizing. Expect to see me more often here!
