Mango Tree's Fresh New Look in Bonifacio High Street
MANGO TREE - The Thai restaurant we love just got a recent makeover that transformed the restaurant into a majestic modern tropical paradise. The only that didn't change is its being home to the best sumptuous Thai cuisine.
Located at the heart of Bonifacio High Street, Mango Tree is one of the restaurants I extremely favor. When friends ask for recommendation in High Street, I normally blurt out Sunnies Cafe, Marugame and Mango Tree as my top choices.
A new thrilling experience
Even before it underwent renovation, I've always loved the cozy interior of Mango Tree. Look: Mango Tree before renovation (read more). However, I didn't know that I'll be even more captivated with its new look. In fact, there was even more beyond its look. It was really elevated into a different notch.
I dramatically opened the door as my vision pans to the new environment. In my mind, things moved in a slow motion. Then I caught this subtle aroma, that made me associate hotel lobby to it. Brilliant, I said to myself, as the ambiance is now an "experience" by itself.
To go along with the new look, Mango Tree also launched new dishes to check out, and I'll be sharing a few of 'em here in this blog post.
Watermelon Salad with Dried Shrimp Floss - Tricky yet playful in the buds with the push-and-pull of sweetness from the watermelon and savory saltiness from the shrimp floss.
Stir-fried Lady Finger "Okra"
Steamed Chilean Black Mussels in Tom Yum - Fresh mussels in Mango Tree's signature tom yum, a definite classic here in the restaurant
Grilled U.S. Pork Belly - sinful fatty goodness of a pork belly made Thai via the tangy-tamarind-infused sauce
Stir-fried Rice Noodles with Crab Meat - a new "classic", or should I say an upgraded classic made more rich with the inclusion of fresh crab meat. Noodle dishes here in Mango Tree are house specialties, so you'll never go wrong with them.
Stir-fried Crab in Curry Sauce - oozes with fantastic blend of seafood freshness and Thai curry, which then harnesses the deep rich taste of the crab. An immense culinary experience!
Thai Style Mochi - an interesting take on mochi with special savory sweet filling inside. It may seem "Japanese" with its name, but it's definitely Thai with its taste. A definite mouthful!
Mango Tree is a royal paradise for those in search of authentic Thai dining experience. It will let your senses journey to Thailand with its newly renovated immersive ambiance, coupled with a lineup of innovative culinary concepts. This is then sealed by the warmth of service giving a glimpse of hospitality from the "Land of Smiles". Given the recent changes, Mango Tree just further plastered itself as part of my personal Top 3 eats in Bonifacio High Street.
